Happy Life Animal Rescue: Your Path to a Furever Friend

At Happy Life Animal Rescue, we’re dedicated to finding loving forever homes for our precious cats and dogs. Our adoption process is designed to ensure that each animal finds the perfect match with a caring family. Here’s how you can bring home your new best friend:

Step 1: Adoption Registration

The first step in adopting a pet from Happy Life is completing the adoption registration. This straightforward process helps us gather essential information about potential adopters. By understanding what type of pet you’re looking for and any specific needs you might have, our adoption counselors can better assist you. Register now to start your journey!

Step 2: Meet with an Adoption Counselor

After registering, you’ll have the opportunity to meet with one of our friendly adoption counselors. You can visit us during our open hours (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 11 AM to 1 PM and 5:30 PM to 7 PM) or join us at one of our weekend adoption events. During this meeting, the counselor will get to know you and your family, discuss what you’re looking for in a pet, and introduce you to some of the wonderful animals in our care.

Step 3: Find Your Perfect Match

If you find a furry friend that steals your heart, you can adopt them on the spot! If you don’t find your perfect match right away, don’t worry. You’re always welcome to come back and meet more of our adorable animals until you find the right one for you.

At Happy Life Animal Rescue, we’re here to support you every step of the way in finding your new family member. Start your adoption journey with us today, and give a deserving animal a loving home!

Adoption events at Happy Life Animal Rescue are exciting, heartwarming occasions designed to match our adorable cats and dogs with loving families. Here’s a detailed rundown of what you can expect when you attend one of our events.

First, our adoption events are held at various convenient locations, including local pet stores like Petco in Brookfield, CT, and community centers. We also host special events, such as our Purr and Pour cat adoption events, which take place in cozy cafes where you can enjoy a cup of coffee while meeting our feline friends.

When you arrive at an adoption event, you’ll be greeted by our friendly volunteers and staff members who are passionate about helping our animals find their forever homes. They’ll provide you with information about the pets available for adoption, including their names, ages, breeds, and unique personalities.

Adoptions are done on a first come first serve basis. You’ll be asked to sign in when you get there. Once it is your turn you’ll have the opportunity to interact with the animals in a relaxed and comfortable environment. For dog adoption events, we often have outdoor spaces where you can take the dogs for a walk, play with them, and see how they behave in different settings. This helps you get a real sense of their temperament and compatibility with your family.

For our cat adoption events, like Purr and Pour, you can spend time in a designated area where the cats can roam freely. This allows you to see how they interact with people and other animals, making it easier to find a cat that fits well with your home environment.

Throughout the event, our adoption counselors will be available to answer any questions you may have. They’ll discuss your lifestyle, preferences, and what you’re looking for in a pet. Their goal is to ensure that you find an animal that will thrive in your care.

If you find your perfect match at the event, you can start the adoption process right there! Our counselors will guide you through the necessary paperwork and provide you with all the information you need to bring your new furry friend home.

Attending a Happy Life Animal Rescue adoption event is a wonderful way to meet many of our animals in person, interact with them, and make an informed decision about adoption. We look forward to helping you find your next beloved family member!

Happy Life Animal Rescue is a 501c(3) Foster based animal rescue. While we try to help with as many dogs as we can we do not have a facility as to where people can come and drop off their animals. Most of the time we have back lists of dogs waiting to be rescued from Puerto Rico and kill shelters and only so many fosters available to help. That said if we do have an available spot we are happy to help after an inquiry and the filing out of a surrender questionnaire.

At Happy Life Animal Rescue, we’re incredibly grateful for the support of our dedicated volunteers. There are numerous ways you can get involved and make a significant impact on the lives of our cats and dogs. Here’s how you can help:

1. Kennel Assistance

Our kennels need daily care and attention. Volunteers help with feeding, cleaning, and providing much-needed socialization for our animals. This role is perfect for those who love hands-on interaction with pets and want to ensure they have a clean, comfortable environment.

2. Fostering

Fostering is a critical part of our rescue mission. By opening your home to a foster pet, you provide a temporary safe haven for animals until they find their forever homes. This helps them adjust to home life, and it also frees up space in our facility to rescue more animals in need.

3. Photography/Videography

A picture is worth a thousand words, and a great photo or video can make all the difference in an animal’s chance of being adopted. We’re always looking for volunteers with photography and videography skills to capture the unique personalities of our pets, creating captivating profiles for our website and social media.

4. Marketing

If you have a knack for marketing, your skills can help us reach a wider audience. From creating social media posts and writing newsletters to designing flyers and managing campaigns, there are many ways you can contribute to spreading the word about our mission and the animals available for adoption.

5. Data Entry

Behind every successful rescue operation is a team of organized individuals handling administrative tasks. Volunteers who help with data entry ensure that our records are accurate and up-to-date, supporting everything from animal care to donor management.

6. Helping at Adoption Events

Our adoption events are vibrant and crucial for matching pets with their forever families. Volunteers assist with setting up, greeting potential adopters, handling animals, and providing information. These events are a fantastic way to see the direct impact of your efforts.

7. And So Much More!

There are countless other ways to get involved, including grant writing, fundraising, transport coordination, and more. No matter your skills or interests, there’s a place for you at Happy Life Animal Rescue.

How to Get Started

If you’re interested in volunteering, the first step is to complete our volunteer application here. Once we receive your application, we’ll invite you to a volunteer orientation session where you’ll learn more about our mission, the available roles, and how you can start making a difference.

Your time, skills, and passion can make a world of difference for our animals. Join us in our mission to provide a happy life for both the animals and their adopters. We can’t wait to welcome you to the Happy Life family!

Our Adoption Fee is $525 for dogs and $200 for cats. All animals come with age-appropriate shots and spay/neuter if old enough.

While you may have fallen in love with a picture it does not necessarily mean you’ll love the animal. Happy Life tries its best to make sure the animal will be in its forever home, therefore we do not hold any animal. Once approved you are invited to come meet all of our available animals to make sure you find the right fit for your family.

When coming to adopt please be prepared to take the animal home with you that day. Our fosters cannot hold on to the pup after the adoption as many of them are committed to taking a new pup in so we can save more animals.
